Did you know that the real James Bond was Icelandic?
The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre is presenting the world premier of Intepid by Alex Poch-Goldin, January 13-February 6, 2027. Intrepid is the story of William Stephenson described as “An action-packed spy thriller recounting one of Winnipeg’s greatest heroes, William Stephenson, who became Churchill’s spymaster and the inspiration for James Bond.”
Are you dying to find out more about Winnipeg’s own William Stephenson, the man called Intredid? Join us for an evening with Dwight MacAulay, past president of the Intrepid Society and expert on William Stephenson. He will share stories about the real man behind the moniker Intrepid.

The evening will be in the style of a 1940’s cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar featuring a signature martini. Come dressed 40’s cocktail style (optional).

TGIF Dinner & Speaker Series
The Scandinavian Centre hosts a dinner and speaker series from September to May. Dinner is held the 4th Friday of each month.

Topic: History of Lego
Scott Templeton is a teacher by day and a LEGO master by night. Being the ambassador for the Manitoba LEGO Users Group, Scott is an active LEGO enthusiast in the local and broader community. Beginning at a young age, LEGO has been a passion of Scott. From using random parts to now having a collection of hundreds of thousands of bricks, Scott lives and breathes LEGO. His collection also includes thousands of sets, sealed and built, along with several custom creations that have given him local recognition in the media. Of particular interest is Scott's Winnipeg Arena build, containing over 20,000 parts. Today, Scott will share more about the history of LEGO and how this little plastic brick has grown into the global success of today.
