TGIF Dinner and Speaker Series

Topic: Sleep in Heavenly Peace
Speaker: Jim Thiessen from "Sleep in Heavenly Peace". At the April TGIF, you can help to raise funds so that no child in Winnipeg sleeps on the floor. Your cash contribution of $5.00 or more will help to achieve this goal. Sleep In Heavenly Peace needs $350.00 to provide a child with a bed. Be part of the solution to provide a child with a bed.

Hosted by the 🇩🇰 Danish Canadian Club - Manitoba 🇩🇰 on March 31st, 2024.
Brunch includes:
*Fresh Fruit Display with a Coconut-Orange Watermelon Salad | Cottage Cheese | Variety of Fresh Salads including field greens, Caesar Slaw with tomatoes, capers, roasted garlic & Parmesan cheese.

Speaker: Dr. Ruth Swan, a historian of Indigenous History with a specialty in Manitoba and the Red River Valley. Her partner is Edward A. Jerome who shared his family research with her and gave her permission to use research on his ancestors for her dissertation: "The Crucible: Pembina and the Origins of the Red River Valley Metis"
