The Scandinavian Centre opens at 10:30am until 1pm. Menu features a buffet of salads, fruits, cheese & fish, hot entree, hot vegetables, egg entree, sausage & bacon, bread/buns, all-you-can-eat dessert (some ethnic) and coffee/tea/juices. (Slight menu changes week to week)
Adults $15/each, Children $7.50/each (aged 8-12 years) & Children ages 7 & under FREE. FRIDAY LUNCHES - Hosted by the Norwegian Canadian Club, our lunches begin at 11:30am until 1:30pm. Cost is $7.00/per person and includes a bowl of homemade soup, two open-faced sandwiches and dessert. Bottomless cups coffee/tea are included. NORDIC STITCHERS - Meet every first and third Thursday of the month from 10am - 2pm. Lessons in Hardanger or Cross-stitch embroidery available. Everyone is welcome to bring along any handmade items that they are working on even if they are not embroidery. We bring our own.
NORDIC KNITTERS - All knitter’s are welcome to bring whatever project you’re knitting, especially any project that you might be having difficulty with. Knitter’s of all skill levels are welcome. $5.00 fee/per session, in support of Lögberg-Heimskringla. Nordic Knitter’s is a group interested in learning about all things to do with knitting with a special interest in all things Nordic. The group meets on the second and fourth Thursday evenings from September to June. The group begins at 7 pm under the watchful eye of instructor Kelly Hinds. All levels of knitting expertise are welcome.
