Nancy Kerr is the speaker: Nancy Kerr, a retired Staff Officer in the Teacher Welfare Department of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society will speak on ‘The Evolution of Women’s Rights ‘ using the teacher perspective as a reflection of the struggle all women have endured in the never ending fight for equity. Did you say Lutefisk? Yes, we certainly did: Mark your calendars now for the NCC’s annual (and highly anticipated) Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner, on Saturday, Nov. 2. It’s a full evening in so many ways: heaps of good food (including fresh lefse) and good fun, not to mention a silent auction and entertainment. Reservations are required. Our annual Christmas Market & Cafe will be on Sunday, November 17th from 11am to 2:30pm!! Come down to the Scandinavian Centre at 764 Erin Street, the Market features imported foods, home baking and craft vendors.
A la carte cafe serves Scandinavian delicacies. There is no admission charge.
