The Scandinavian Canadian Choir (SCC) is the most vocal of all the groups at the Scandinavian Cultural Centre.

When it comes to sharing our Scandinavian Culture with the community, the choir always sings out loud and clear. Its purpose is to bring to the community the songs of five Scandinavian countries. The choir sings the songs in the language they were written. This means singing in Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish. We also sing the English translation as well, if it exists. Nordic lyrics are learned phonetically so language is not a barrier. All you need to join is a love of singing, all are welcome.

The choir meets weekly on Mondays at 7 p.m. under the direction of Willa Wade. We conclude each rehearsal with a social time together with coffee, snack and fun. We have two concerts a year, Christmas and Spring.
